I have enjoyed a rewarding career in social work since 1983 and remain optimistic about the future of social work providing we hear the voices ofchildren, families and those who work with them. In addition to lecturing at the University of Salford, I am an independent researcher for MOSAIC II. My doctoral research at the University of Huddersfield is a pluralistic analysis of the experience and discursive construction of prospective adopters. I have a broad interest in critical social psychology, promoting a narrative which encourages a less extreme perception of relativist positions. I am passionate about the potential for public collaboration in the design, practice and dissemination of social research. I curate several social media platforms which aim to support social researchers and encourage a participatory community. If you would like to contact me regarding any of the above, I would love to hear from you.
